Gochujang Burger

Flame Grilled Beef Steak Burger is topped with a homemade slaw made with shredded purple cabbage, sliced green onions, shredded carrots, cilantro, Mayo, Korean Gochujang chili paste and lime juice on a sesame seed bun.

Ingredients

mayonnaise 1/4 cup
Korean gochujang chili paste 1 tsp
lime juice 1 tsp
tightly packed shredded red cabbage 1 1/2 cups
shredded carrots 1/2 cup
sliced green onions 1/4 cup
chopped fresh cilantro 1/4 cup
salt and pepper 1/4 tsp each
sesame seed buns, split 4

Method

  1. Flat Grill: Preheat grill to 350°F and heat burgers for 8 to 15 minutes from frozen state, turning frequently to avoid excessive browning.
  2. Whisk together mayonnaise, gochujang chili paste and lime juice. Add red cabbage, carrots, green onions, cilantro, salt and pepper; toss to combine.
  3. Place burgers on bottom halves of buns. Top with cabbage slaw. Cap with tops of buns.
