Open Faced Hot Broccoli Rabe Burger

CN Fully Cooked Beef Patties with Mushrooms 4
tbsp olive oil 2
cloves garlic, minced 2
bunch broccoli rabe, stalks trimmed 1/2
salt and pepper pinch each
shredded Asiago cheese 1/2 cup
Garlic Bread:
tbsp olive oil 2
clove garlic, minced 1
salt and pepper pinch each
Italian bread 4 slices


  1. Flat grill: preheat grill to 350 degrees F and heat patties for 4 to 7 minutes from frozen state, turning frequently to avoic excessive browning
  2. Meanwhile, in large pot of boiling salted water, blanch broccoli rabe for about 2 minutes or until stalks are tender; drain well. Heat oil in skillet set over medium heat; cook garlic for about 1 minute or until garlic turns golden. add broccoli rabe; saute for 2 to 3 minutes or until very tender. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Garlic Bread: stir together olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper; brush over tops of bread slices. Broil on low for 3 to 4 minutes or until toasted and golden brown.
  4. Place cooked patties on garlic bread. top with shredded Asiago and broccoli rabe.
  5. Tip: Substitute Romano or Parmesan for Asiago cheese if desired.
