New products offer on-trend sandwich varieties, healthier options
CINCINNATI – AdvancePierre™ Foods (APF), a nationally-recognized, fully integrated producer and seller of handheld sandwiches and value-added meats, is expanding its Hot ‘n’ Ready sandwich line with the launch of two Pretzel Flatbread Sandwiches: Sausage, Egg & Cheese Pretzel Flatbread and Canadian Bacon, Egg White & Cheese Pretzel Flatbread.
The Sausage, Egg & Cheese Pretzel Flatbread features a savory sausage patty with a scrambled egg and American cheese, served on a pretzel flatbread (280 calories). The ingredients of the Canadian Bacon, Egg White & Cheese Pretzel Flatbread include a slice of Canadian bacon on an egg white with American cheese, served on a pretzel flatbread (140 calories).
These new products reflect top sandwich themes as reported by Technomic, a leading fact-based consulting and research firm serving the food industry, and introduce several “firsts” for the brand. This is the first flatbread option, the first pretzel bread option and the first use of egg white as an ingredient.

The Pretzel Flatbread Sandwiches will be available in July. The new sandwiches have a seven-day refrigerated, 12-month frozen shelf life. The hand-wrapped sandwiches can hold hot in a sandwich warmer for up to four hours.
