ENID, OKLAHOMA – AdvancePierre Foods today celebrated 40 years of growth in Enid. The company is a leading national supplier of value-added protein and handheld convenience products to the foodservice, school, retail, club, vending and convenience store channels. AdvancePierre produces and distributes a full line of packaged sandwiches, fully cooked chicken and beef products, Philly-style steak, stuffed chicken breasts, and bakery products.
Paul Allen and David McLaughlin founded Advance Food Company in Enid on July 31, 1973 and successfully built their food business over the subsequent years. In 2010, Advance Food Company merged with Pierre Foods to create AdvancePierre Foods.
“I want to personally thank our more than 1,800 associates in Enid, many of whom have been with the company for decades. Their hard work and dedication to quality is the key to our success here,” said Bill Toler, president and CEO of AdvancePierre Foods. “The City of Enid has provided an excellent place for us to grow and be part of a vibrant community. We look forward to a long and bright future in this city.”
In addition to hosting an anniversary celebration for its Enid associates, AdvancePierre Foods announced that in honor of its anniversary, it will make a financial donation to the Loaves & Fishes of NW Oklahoma Food Resource Center in Enid.
“AdvancePierre Foods has been a strong supporter of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and provided financial support last year to help us open this Food Resource Center in Enid,” said Gail Wynne, board member of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Foundation. “We are grateful for their support and look forward to their partnership in the years to come to ensure that children and families throughout the Enid community are provided wholesome, nutritious meals all year long.”
