Frank Merritt brings a broad range of experience in operations, finance and information technology to his current role as senior vice president of Supply Chain for AdvancePierre Foods. In his current position, he is responsible for distribution, transportation, customer service and demand management. Mr. Merritt joined Advance Food Company in 1997 and was promoted to chief financial officer in 1998. In his capacity as CFO, he managed all accounting and financial aspects of the company, as well as all information systems and technology. He played a crucial leadership role in acquisitions and integration during Advance’s rapid growth while he was CFO. In 2008, he also assumed responsibility for logistics, customer service, purchasing and maintenance operations.
Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Merritt had a varied career in consulting, real estate development, manufacturing and public accounting.
Mr. Merritt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Economics from Guilford College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
